Dilboy Pool is a great place for families to cool off and enjoy a summer day. The main pool is very large—by my estimate, it may hold around 100,000 gallons—and there is a separate one-foot-deep wading pool that is perfect for toddlers. The staff members are professional, friendly, and take their responsibilities seriously. I was especially impressed by the bathrooms, which were exceptionally clean, spacious, and well designed to accommodate large crowds. The main drawback is that there is not much shade or public seating around the pool, aside from the seating near the separate wading-pool area. I recommend bringing your own outdoor chairs and sun protection. There are also a few shaded benches out front, making it a nice place to sit, eat lunch, and escape the sun for a while. Fun fact: Dilboy is named in honor of George Dilboy, a Somerville resident and World War I soldier who received the Medal of Honor. Overall, this is a clean, well-managed, and family-friendly public pool that is definitely worth visiting!

Really nice to have but I wish they offered lap swim times that are accessible to working people! Early morning or evening would be really nice. The indoor pool is great but outdoor is so nice in the summer
